From 23rd to 25th of September 2019 the Training of Trainers Implementation Meeting will be hosted by the Vienna Institute for International Dialogue and Cooperation (VIDC) in close cooperation with the University of Vienna at the Center for Sport Science and University Sports in Vienna.
Schools as well as sport clubs are an important vehicle to facilitate integration and foster positive, intercultural learning experiences. The objective of the project EDU:PACT is to help address the intercultural challenges schools, clubs, teachers and coaches are facing. It aims to develop innovative, evidence-based intercultural pedagogy in physical education and coaching.
Using the modules and study units developed by experts within the project, selected physical education teachers, trainers and coaches will be familiarized with the EDU:PACT objectives and trained in providing intercultural learning activities in existing PE and coaching programmes.
“We are happy to finally implement the modules developed in this project, and to give teachers, trainers and coaches useful tools to deliver positive, inclusive, intercultural learning experiences. As the meeting will be followed by the ENSE Forum from 26th to 27th of September, we can also present EDU:PACT to PE experts from all over Europe.
