From the third to the sixth of July the ECSS Prague 2019 took place. The department training science was represented with several members of staff on the biggest european congress for sport science.
Mag. Ing. Richard Hauer, Bakk. presented his study: "MATCH-PLAY ACTIVITY PROFILE OF MALE AUSTRIAN LACROSSE PLAYERS".
The former staff member Dr. Christoph Triska, BSc MSc, (henceforward working on the ÖISM) presented his research project "EFFECTS OF CARBOHYDRATE INTAKE DURING A 1-H HEAVY INTENSITY CYCLING EXERCISE ON SUBSEQUENT RUNNING ECONOMY – A SINGLE-BLINDED PILOT STUDY".
Benedikt Mitter, Bakk. MSc could talk about his study "PREDICTIVE VALIDITY OF LOAD-VELOCITY MODELS TO DETERMINE THE ONE-REPETITION MAXIMUM IN TRAINED POWERLIFTERS".
Ing. Markus Scharner, Bakk. presented his research about "NON-MOTORIZED TREADMILL SPRINTING POWER IS RELATED TO OVER-GROUND PERFORMANCE IN ELITE TEAM SPORTS ATHLETES".
Beside the own talks the high-class program on the ECSS offers staff members interesting insights in current international research in sport science. Many links were forged for future transnational cooperation.
