Invitation: Workshop "Digital Technologies in Football and Basketball" as part of the Erasmus+ project TEAM UP

In the framework of the Erasmus+ project "Team Up", the Department of Sports Informatics of the Institute of Sports Science invites interested people to a workshop on digital technologies in football and basketball training on the 29th of June. The aim of the workshop is the exchange of experiences between coaches from the youth sector of grassroots sports clubs and sports teachers.

In the first part of the workshop, the project as well as our study results on the use of digital technologies in Austrian grassroots sports clubs will be presented and discussed.

Jonas Bischofberger, “Lead Data Scientist” at the German Bundesliga team VfB Stuttgart, PhD student at the University of Vienna, as well as blogger and author, will join us online for the second part of the event. He will report on the status quo and visions in the field of digital technologies and data analysis in team sports and their training. A final discussion will round off the workshop.
