Yesterday Ass-Prof Hans Kainz gave a talk about in-silico simulations at the Griffith Centre for Biomedical and Rehabilitation Engineering at Griffith University (Australia). The talk was followed by a fruitful discussion with PIs and students. After lunch, Dr. Kainz had the opportunity to see the BioSpine research facilities, which recently received mutli-million dollar funding to develop digitally-enabled rehabilitation technology for spinal cord injury.
During his research stay, Dr. Kainz had the opportunity to network with peers and exchange research ideas. Currently, Dr. Claudio Pizzolato (head of BioSpine) and Dr. Kainz work on a joint research proposal, which focusses on the use of multi-scale simulations to improve clinical-decision making.
