INSPIRA stands for INclusive SPorts Innovative Resilience Advancement in tennis. The main objective of the project is to promote tennis as a healthy and social activity. Digital tools will be leveraged to lower the entry barriers of tennis for all age groups, to encourage a healthy lifestyle through sport and to increase sport skills. With tennis clubs from four European countries, the project aims to disseminate its results to a large population, including remote and underserved communities.
The project is coordinated by the University of Vienna. Partners are the Bulgarian Space Research and Technology Institute as well as the tennis club Lulin 6 from Bulgaria, the tennis club Venus from Greece, the Teniska Akademija Aerodrom from North Macedonia and the tennis club Krško from Slovenia.
INSPIRA will be delivered to grassroots and advanced tennis players from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds. A special focus in all project activities lies on gender equality and social inclusion, with wheelchair athletes as an explicit target group. INSPIRA supports the EU Physical Activity Guidelines and the Erasmus+ Sport priority “Encouraging healthy lifestyles for all”.
The Project will start in early 2025.
