9th International Performance Analysis Workshop and Conference & 5th IACSS Conference

14.09.2021

Our department organised the 9th International Performance Analysis Workshop and Conference & 5th IACSS Conferences, which happened on the 30th and 31st of August, held online.

This event was idealised to join keynote presentations with interactive workshops, and both oral and e-poster presentations, on how computer scientists and performance analysts can work together to solve both applied and research-based problems. Four experts were invited to the main keynote sessions: Dr. Otto Kolbinger contributed to the discussion in Text Mining and Performance Analysis, Prof. Dr. Daniel Memmert spoke at the Interdisciplinary Collaboration session, Dr. Albrecht Zimmermann presented his lecture on Machine Learning and Player Quality Assessment, and the trio Prof. Dr. Nick James, Dr. Nimai Parmar and Chris Connelly debated Best Practice in Performance Analysis. We counted with 41 papers presented at the oral sessions, and 10 e-poster presentations.

The next edition of this conference is in 2022, which Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Arnold Baca, president of the conference, is hopeful that, this time, it can be held in presence in Vienna.
