Veronika Lubert and Peter Gröpel published a systematic review on psychological interventions in music in the Musicae Scientiae (IF = 2.2). The review evaluates studies that tested how musicians can improve their performance through self-regulation strategies such as goal setting, imagery, attention focusing, relaxation, and self-evaluation.

Peter Gröpel contributed to an article on visual distraction during simulated neonatal resuscitation in the Archives of Disease in Childhood, Fetal & Neonatal edition (IF = 3.9). The study shows how important visual attention is for life-saving procedures in healthcare.

Wolfgang Altermann and Peter Gröpel published an article on exercise and attention in the International Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology (IF = 3.3). They found that long-term exercise intervention is in general beneficial for adolescent students’ attention, with the greatest effects being observed in the coordination exercise group.
