Research stay Australia, Mag. Bauer

Research stay at the Edith Cowan University in Western Australia

In order to get a better insight into advanced neurophysiological methods for his dissertation project, Mag. Bauer visited one of the world's leading institutions in the field of training science. At the Edith Cowan University (ECU), he took part in interesting research projects for 6 weeks and made some new contacts with renowned researchers (Prof. Greg Haff, Prof. Ken Nosaka, etc.) and their doctoral students. The focus was on an ongoing project to investigate the mechanisms of post-activation potentiation (PAP) with Prof. Anthony Blazevich and Cody Wilson, in which the influence of the intramuscular temperature and the fluid distribution on the PAP is investigated more closely.
